This is the start of my 13th school year at MMS.  This will be my 10th year to teach 6th grade social studies.  I love this subject and I am excited to share my love of social studies with the students this year.

I spent much of my young life living on different military bases. After living in Alaska and all over the state of California, we moved to Bartlett, TN when I was in 7th grade.  I was finally able to live somewhere more than 2 years!  I graduated from Bolton High School and then attended UT Martin where I met my husband, John.  We have been married 23 years and have been in McKenzie since that time.  I love McKenzie and do consider it home even though I am a transplant.  We have two great girls -Olivia (19, and a sophomore at ETSU) and Isabelle (16, A junior at McKenzie High School).
