I received a Bachelor's degree from Bethel College in Child Learning and Development with a minor in Elementary Education in 2003.

I received a Master's Degree from Freed-Hardeman University in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006.

This is my 19th year to teach 5th grade. I began my teaching career at Paul G. Caywood Elementary in Lexington, TN. I spent 4 years at Caywood before transferring to Weakley County where I taught at Martin Elementary for 2 years. I am very blessed to be starting my 13th year at McKenzie Middle School.

I am originally from Nebo, Ky. I found my way to McKenzie by attending Bethel College. While at Bethel, I met my husband Marty. We have been married for eleven years and have two daughters. Madelyn Kate is 9 and Mary Ryan is 6 years old.
